Our aim is to deliver each product ordered in packaging that upholds our values on sustainability and minimum waste, yet does not compromise the safe arrival of the parcel and the fresh quality of the individual items.
As per the method in which you can purchase our products in-store, we primarily use paper bags to package the products purchased online. However, there are times when plastic bags are used to post certain products (e.g. herbs, spices, nuts, oily products etc.) to ensure:
The products maintain freshness and quality.
The parcel arrives without any issues – such as broken bags that result in the product spilling out into the box.
By all means, you are able to request NO PLASTIC at checkout, and we will honour these requests. However in such circumstances, we will not re-send an order if the package has arrived in a lesser state than what it was packaged.
We also re-use the boxes we receive from suppliers to package all the products together and ship to the customer.
Right from the beginning when The Full Pantry store was established in 2004, paper bags have been the primary method of purchase our products.
We provide various sized paper bags to cater for the quantity you wish to purchase. We also provide thicker paper bags for the products that are more prone to escape, such as flour and other fine products.
On occasion, or request, we provide plastic bags for certain products that may not ‘travel’ well. Such products include almond meal (in which the natural oils can slightly seep through the paper bag) and glace fruits.
Our preferred option for products to be purchased in-store, is for customers to bring their own containers rather than use the bags we provide. We show you how to use our the designated stations located throughout the store where you are able to individually tare the container on the scales and then fill the container with the product. This is a growing method amongst our customer base, so on busy days (Saturday), patience may be required while waiting for a station to become available.
On a side note, due to the large number of boxes that we acquire from our suppliers, we often have various sized boxes available for anyone to take! These boxes are very sturdy and come in varying shapes and sizes. If you are moving house, building a cubby for the kids, or simply needing boxes for storage, then please inquire in-store. Re-use is even better than recycle!!

We've been shopping with them for years. They've now moved to new premises on Maroondah Highway, opposite Sofia's and providing the same broad variety of high quality health food as they did at their previous Croydon Centro location. But now with a cafe soon to open as well. Worth checking out!

My new favourite place. The coffee is consistently great, food is sensational and reasonably priced. And the food store next door is full of wonderful fresh, healthy and different products. Love that I can get almond butter freshly ground in front of me! This place is worth a visit!!

The store is amazing! Everything bulk foods you could possibly want, at really affordable prices. The cafe staff are so lovely and attentive. The menu is bold and interesting; it lost a couple of points for execution but overall this has been a great experience. Thanks guys!
